Vintage Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet Saturday May 21, 2016
Hello everyone, at Classic Cycle Events we are excited for a great 2016, but first, I want to take a minute to address the situation at Irwindale Raceway, to clear up any confusion. Due to a potential construction project that is forecasted to begin later this year, the Irwindale Raceway has been unable to provide us with concrete dates for our El Camino event. As a result of this uncertainty, we will only have the 48th Annual Hanford Show & Swap this year. So if you have been putting off checking out Hanford, because El Camino was closer or easier, this year might be the reason to make the drive and check out the "Best" little meet in California.
I'd like to welcome back Nick Dounias, our favorite Hagerty's Classic Bike Insurance Agent. He will again be sponsoring the two Hagerty's Choice Awards, as he has so graciously done for us the past three years. Hagerty's Insurance remains the Classic Cycle Events Bike Insurance of choice.
VanTech returns as well with Bill VanTichelt judging and awarding a trophy in each of five classes, including: Best VanTech Classic Kit, Best VanTech as Raced, Best Custom & Best Offroad VanTech and the Best Restored VanTech. when registering mention you want to be in the VanTech Classes.
I also want to extend a warm welcome to Lucas Oil, they are our new co-sponsor of the Classic Cycle Events Motorcycle Show. Lucas will be offering special prizes to the class winners. Not only will our winners get a trophy, but some great motorcycle care products as well.
This years event promises to be the Best yet! So come on, make the drive and help us make Hanford 2016 the biggest, best show ever. It really is a great event and if you've never been, this is your year. There is a reason this show has been going strong for 48 years and counting and is California's oldest and longest running show & swap.

Motorcycle Show Info: Registration and check-in is from 6:30 - 8:30 AM Saturday only. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Entry fee is $35 for the first bike and $15 for each additional bike and includes admission for one person. (NOT 1 person per bike, each additional person is $10.
Display Only: Show any bike, any year, any style for the fee of $20. Includes 1 admission. No Awards given.
Awards Info: Classes: “Best of” trophies awarded in the following classes: Antique Motorcycle 1900-1935, All Original Motorcycle to 1989 Powered Bikes and Scooters to 1989.
1st and 2nd Place Trophies will be Awarded in the following Classes:
• Vintage Amercian 1936-1964
• Vintage British 1936-1964
• Classic American 1965-1989
• Classic British 1965-1989
• Classic European 1936-1989
• Classic Japanese to 1989
• On and Off Road Comp. to 1969
• On and Off Road Comp.1970 to 1989
• Cafe Racer and Streetracker to 1989
• Custom Vintage & Bobbers to 1989
Newly added for this year an event “Best Period Modified” trophy will be awarded in Classic American, British, European, Japanese, and both On and Off Road classes. As always People’s Choice, Best Restoration, and Best of Show will be awarded. Presentation will be held at 1:00PM. Show entrants must be present to receive an award. (Note Classes may change depending on participation).
Swap Meet/Vendor Info:
Swap Spaces are 15’ x 25’. Pre-registered space fees are $75 each. Non-registered spaces are $95 each at the gate. RV Spaces are 17’ x 30’ and are $100 each pre-Registered. RV Hook-ups are available for $25 per night at the vendor gate.
The combined length of your vehicle(s) MUST Fit in the alloted space or extra spaces must be purchased.
Space Fees include 2 admissions total per space with a maximum of 4 admissions for multiple spaces. Additional worker passes good for Friday are $45 each and for Saturday are $25 each at check-in. Overnight camping in your prepaid vending space is permitted on Friday night at no extra charge.
Saturday event hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be early bird shopping offered from 6:30 to 7:30 AM so be prepared for early shoppers. Vendors agree to stay until 4:00 PM.
Pre-Registration is Encouraged! The Pre-Registration Deadline is May 11th, 2016, with no exceptions. Pleae mail early - the postmark is the final word! Forms received after this date will be charged the additional $20. Non-Registered Vendors will be assigned spaces on a first come basis. Pre-Registered Vendors will be parked first!
Check-in is Friday May 20th, 2016 from 12 noon to 10:00 PM, and Saturday May 21st from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM. Vendor Gate will be locked Friday night promptly at 10:00 PM, and will reopen Saturday at 6:00 AM.
Motorcycles For Sale: An exclusive area has been designated for the sale of complete/running motorcycles. Corral fee is $25 per bike and includes one admission good for Saturday only and a For Sale sign and zip tie. Please register for sale bikes at the show bike registration from 6:30 to 8:30 AM Saturday.
Note: Absolutely No open fires or weapons permitted. Vendors are responsible for cleaning up their trash before leaving, and safeguarding their own property. The swap meet is limited to motorcycle related items only. Please no objectionable items. All commercial vendors must have resale license displayed in their space. Pets must be on leash at all times. NO AGGRESSIVE PETS PLEASE. All Fees Non-Refundable
